Our Story

The Ropemaker is our second pub with rooms and we couldn’t be more thrilled about joining the Emsworth neighbourhood renowned for fresh seafood, this quaint fishing town exudes charm with its bustling harbour, quaint streets, and breathtaking views across the harbour-side marshes.

Our large 120 cover dining room is light and bright and oozes character and charm. As well as our dining room, we have a comfy bar lounge that seats 56 and a snug area for 40. Not only this we have a pub garden to the rear of the property for outdoor dining featuring 3 outdoor dining beach huts. As well as this, we have a decked area to the front of the pub – all make great spots to sit back and enjoy a chilled glass of rosé. Whether you join us to enjoy our signature à la carte menu, Sunday roasts and seasonal specials, our atmospheric dining areas make the perfect spot to reside no matter the occasion. With our top 3 star rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association and accolade of Best Food-Led Pub Group we are very proud of the sustainably sourced and tasty dishes that our quarterly changing menu has to offer.
